OurPVC material of choice is known as Sintra PVC board (Brand). Ideal for outdoor use and has a smooth matte finish. This material also displays images or agent photos well. These boards are medium weight and very rigid, making them a good all around value and material choice for custom real estate signs and other signage. Furthermore, Sintra PVC is extruded flat (not into rolls like other plastics) and the elastic properties of this material keeps it rigid with no bowing that can occur on poly plastics. Matching Existing Signs & Hole Centers:

Most agents ordering custom real estate signs are adding or replace signs from an existing inventory. To ensure compatibility, we suggest confirming your sign size an a few measurements. Many Realtors use an outside firm to install and remove their post and property listing signs. We suggest confirming with them or measuring yourself. Secondly, the most critical measurement is often with regards to the overall width and the holes centering. These play an important role in the alignment.

  • **Two Holes Top and/or Two Holes Bottom** – The distance from the center of the first top or bottom hole (left) to the center of the second hole (right) with indicate the “Centers” you have for those signs. See Single Sets of Holes image below
  • **Multiple Holes Top and/or Bottom** – There may be more than 2 holes on the top and or bottom of you existing sign. Your signs might have multiple set of centers to accommodate different signs or posts. In this case we recommend: **First** take the measurement of the 2 holes closest to the center of your sign. Identify this as Set 1- See Image 2 below top the diagram. **Second** measure the next set of holes by measuring the distance from the outside edge of the sign, to the center of that outs
  • **Width** – Don’t take any chances. Regardless of memory, always confirm the width if you are matching an existing sign. Diagram 3 below shows the width and some common hole centers
  • **Main Sign Panel** – If you are ordering this, we suggest confirming the top holes. Usually you will see multiple holes for this application so that the sign post installer can accommodate different types of post. Not uncommon to see two or three sets of holes here (4 or 6 holes)

Directional Signs Correctly placing your arrows:

If you are using your signs as “directionals” to direct the prospect who is traveling for an open house or event, it is important that you have the direction of the arrow match if your signs are being printed on both sides. Each side will use a different arrow so that when displayed the point a traveler in the correct direction regardless of which way thy are approaching or headed

  • If these are print both sides and the exact same content on each side a single 1 page PDF is fine. If content is different on each side please upload a single PDF file with (2) pages (front and back)
  • Don’t crowed your sign with too much copy or images. Readability from some distance is critical with this product
  • Keep away form the edges! We suggest that your margin be 1/2″ from each edge. If holes are required keep critical content/images away or compatible with those areas.
  • Use all vector images and file for best results and don’t enlarge

For our Aluminum signs (Metal) we don’t recommend grommets as they just are not needed. Similarly, if requested we use a heavy rubber grommets. This is an industrial grade material and has a thin flange so it has low impact on the presentation.
